Dorothy Mae Reyelts

Dorothy Mae Reyelts, 85, of Mt. Vernon passed away at 1:21 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at her home.  She was born Oct. 2, 1935, in Cavour, S.D, the daughter of Jerry and Jurena (Veen) Janssen.
Reyelts was a member of the Belgian Draft Horse Association and the Missouri Draft Horse Association and attended the Ozark Prairie Presbyterian Church.
On Feb. 10, 1951, she married Henry Arthur Reyelts, in Webster, S.D.  He preceded her in death on Sept. 11, 2005.
Reylelts is survived by one daughter, Becky Reyelts of Mt. Vernon; three sons, Dean Reyelts (Barbara), of Russell, Kan., Steve Reyelts (Barbara), of Everton, and Joe Reyelts of Mt. Vernon; 13 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Reyelts was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Jurena; her husband, Henry; three sons, Mark, Lonnie, and Gary Reyelts; one grandson, Joe Biellier; three brothers and one sister.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon, was held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at the Ozark Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Ozark Prairie Church or the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library, in care of the funeral home.
