Douglas Wayne “Stumps” Casteel

Douglas Wayne “Stumps” Casteel, 65, of Willow Springs, passed away July 23, 2020, at Cox South Hospital, in Springfield. He was born May 26, 1955, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Clarence Paul and Opal Francis (Jackson) Casteel.
Casteel worked as a tattoo artist. On Jan. 3, 2020, he married Mary Alice Whisnant, in Howell County.
He is survived by: his wife; daughter, Kimberly Norman, of Dennison, Texas; sons, Jason Jeffcoat of Bakersfield, Calif. and Johnithin Whisnant, of Mt. Vernon; 14 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by: his parents; daughter, Misty Gail Casteel; brothers, Bobby Denny, Allen Casteel and Chris Casteel; sister, Melba Mayem; and a nephew.
