Earnestine Smith

Earnestine Smith, 77, of Crane daughter of Melton Oren and Alta Ivawn (Cloud) Cutbirth, was born on July 4, 1944 in Ponce De Leon and departed this life on May 10, 2022.
Smith was a lifelong resident of the area, married Harry Smith on April 28, 1965, was a resort head housekeeper and a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Melton and Ivawn Cutbirth and her husband, Harry Smith.
Survivors include: two daughters, Michel Gideon (Bob) of Hurley and Elaine Albright (William) of Halltown; one brother, Jerry Cutbirth of Cape Fair; four sisters, Norene Davis of Highlandville, Alene Fredrick of Elsey, Charlene Edmondson of Mt. Vernon and Nadine Irwin (Gordon) of Kansas City; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2022 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home, Crane.
