Elfriede Blevins

Elfriede Blevins, 83, of Reeds Spring, daughter of Wilhelm and Antonie (Mitz) Kolbe, was born June 20, 1936 in Wackernheim, Germany and passed away Jan. 9, 2020.
She came to the United States 50 years ago settling first in Galena and soon after in Reeds Spring, where she worked for the Hagel Garment Factory until her retirement.
Survivors include: son, Edwards  (Kerstin) Kolbe of Germany; daughters, Sylvia Hollinger of Germany, Rosemarie (Helmut) Hillebrand of Germany, Patricia (Terry) Berry of Aurora, Beatrice (Monte) Foster of Ozark, Marlen Creason of Florida and Darlene (Tom) Easum of Florida; step-son, Danny (Junie) Blevins of Reeds Spring; step-daughters, Anita (Terry) Maples of Strafford and Regina (Mel) Sorenson of Webb City; 16 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchild; and a host of other family and friends. Elfriede was preceded in death by: her husband, Eugene Blevins; her parents; one brother; and six sisters.
Visitation was held Jan. 18, 2020 at Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City, with a service that followed. Burial was in Yocum Pond Cemetery in Reeds Spring. Memorials may be made to Tri Lake Animal Shelter. Arrangements were under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home Kimberling City.
