Eugene Martin Malone

Eugene Martin Malone, 88, of Pleasant Valley, passed away Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022, at the North Care Hospice House in North Kansas City. He was born March 4, 1933, in Joplin, the son of Harrison and Anna (Martin) Malone.
Malone attended school in Joplin and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in California. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving 18 months in Germany, during the Korean Conflict. He was a minister and a purchasing agent for Tyson Foods.
On Dec. 19, 1955, he married Wanda Golding, in Miller.
Malone is survived by his wife of 66 years, Wanda; one daughter, Deana Ormsby (Gene), of Liberty; one son, Rick Malone (Karen), of Green Ridge; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Malone was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison, and Anna; one son, Tony Malone; four sisters, Ilene, Colleen, Betty, and Hazel and three brothers, Dode, Carl and Tuffy.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, in Miller was held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2022, at the Round Grove Cemetery, west of Miller.
