Evelyn Elaine Hopkins

Evelyn Elaine Hopkins, 86, of Cassville passed away Saturday, Jan. 3, 2026 at her home.
She was born Oct. 1, 1939 in Washburn, the daughter of Loy and Flossie (Hendrix) Wade. On Sept. 29, 1956 in Exeter, she was united in marriage to Joe Kent Hopkins, who preceded her in death on July 31, 2013. Also preceding her in death were her parents; sister Anna Mae Burns and brother-in-law Mickey Burns.
Surviving are her son Russell Hopkins and wife Renee, of Collinsville, Okla.; daughter Teri Jo Shackles and husband Doug, of Cassville; six grandchildren.
She grew up and attended school in Washburn. She had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Services were held at 10 a.m. on Thursday,
Jan. 8, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears conducted the services. Burial was at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville.
The family received friends from 6-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
