Floyd C. Burger
Floyd C. Burger, 95, of Billings passed away June 2, 2021. He was born at home in Billings on Aug. 22, 1925, to Ernest and Theresa (Schatz) Burger.
He graduated from Billings High School in 1944 and then voluntarily enlisted in the U.S. Army. Burger served from 1944-1946. After honorably serving his county, Burger returned home to help run the family farm. He married Jean Stevens in November of 1951. This union was blessed with four children, Marie, Stephen, Richard and Lisa. They were married for 50 years. He was a lifelong member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Billings, as well as a member of Knights of Columbus, American Legion and VFW.
Burger is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Richard Burger; brother, Albert Burger; sister, Leona Burger; one grandson and daughter-in-law, Arleen Dube Burger. He is survived by his children, Marie (Richard) Hess, Stephen Burger and Lisa Burger; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren with two more to make their arrivals this year; brother, Bernard Burger as well as nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Memorials may be made in his late wife Jean Burger’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association.
A visitation was held June 8, 2021 at Meadors Funeral Home, Billings. Mass of Christian Burial was held June 9, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Billings. Burial, with full military honors followed at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Billings.
