Gayle Mae Stark

Gayle Mae Stark, 84, of Carthage passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2022, at her home. She was born on April 27, 1938, to Charles Boyd Kost and Lena Mae (Dilworth) Kost in a farmhouse in Dry Valley, Lawrence County.  
She was married to Billy J. Stark on April 1, 1955 in Carthage. They had three boys, Billy Charles Stark, Randy Joe Stark (Marsha), and Jeffery Clayton Stark (Tammy).
She was preceded in death by her son, Billy Charles Stark, daughter-in-law Carol Stark and her parents, Charles and Lena Kost.
Other survivors include six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Ralph Kost and Thomas Larry Kost; a sister, Carolyn Sue (Kost) Oplotnik (Don); and several nieces and nephews.
Services were at 5 p.m Monday, Aug. 15, 2022, at Ulmer Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation followed the service from 6-7 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
