Gladys Faye Nivens

Gladys Faye Nivens, 81, of Monett, passed away April 11, 2019, while at Cox Hospital in Springfield. She was born in Freistatt, Jan. 22, 1938, to the late Alvin and Rosa (Doss) Heseman. She was married in 1964 in Freistatt to Carl Eugene Nivens; he preceded her in death in 2006.
She was a graduate of Monett High School and a retired C.N.A. working for Lacoba Homes in Monett before retiring; as well as being a long-time member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Monett.
Nivens is survived by: son, Chris (Wanda) Nivens; daughters, Lisa (Matt) Noblett of Springfield and Cherie (Bobby) Adams; brother, Dennis (Shirley) Heseman of Monett; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her husband; her parents, Alvin and Rosa; one grandchild; and one sister, Veona Schnake.
Visitation was held April 16, 2019 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday April 17, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Monett. Burial will be at the McCormick St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Monett. Memorials may be made to St. John’s Lutheran Church in Monett.
