Gladys M. (King) Hagler, 87, of Hurley, passed away Oct. 1, 2018, she was born Feb. 26, 1931, to Orb and Alta (Jenkins) King. She was married to Elmer Hagler, in 1951. Hagler enjoyed working in the garden and making quilts for her family. She retired from Zenith after 25 years as an inspector and was a member of the Hurley Church of God.
Hagler was preceded in death by: her husband; son, Bruce Hagler; and sisters, Louise Wilson, Fern Strane and Golda Chambers. Survivors include: daughter, Deborah Rust of Springfield; son, Jeff (Julia) Hagler of Crane; daughter-in-law, Vickie Hagler of Republic; sisters, Gynith Farrel of Calif., Betty Hagler of Crane, Georgia (Ted) Hunt of Springfield and Mary (Larry) Garringer of Mt. Vernon; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Oct. 3, 2018, in Stumpff Funeral Chapel in Crane. Funeral services were held Oct. 4, 2018, in Hurley Church of God. Burial was in Crane Community Cemetery under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Crane.
