Gould charged with assault, child endangerment, other crimes stemming from Thanksgiving assault

Allegedly bit an Aurora-Marionville police officer who took her into custody
An Aurora woman was arrested after she allegedly threatened several people with a knife on Thanksgiving; she also allegedly bit an Aurora-Marionville Police officer who came to take her into custody. Brittany Gould is charged with second degree assault, third degree assault, unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of second degree child endangerment and resisting arrest. According to the probable cause statement, on Thursday, Nov. 28, Gould brandished a knife in the house around four people in a “threatening manner.”
Two of the individuals were children under the age of 17; one of them told police that Gould “almost came into (their) side with a knife.”
Gould then later allegedly got into an altercation with a police officer who arrived at the house and bit him and broke his skin. According to the probable cause statement, Gould has Hepatitis C.
Later, at the Lawrence County Jail, Gould allegedly told a female law enforcement officer that she would “(expletive) up” the officer, and that she would “break her nose.”
Gould was arraigned on Monday, Dec. 2; she appeared in court again on Monday, Dec. 9, for a bond hearing; she will next appear in court on Monday, Jan. 13, for a preliminary hearing.
As of press time, Gould remained in custody in the Lawrence County Jail.
