Harold Wayne Pierce

Harold Wayne Pierce, 73, of Monett passed away Nov. 27, 2020, while at his home with his loving family at his side.
Pierce was born Aug. 2, 1947 in Elgin, IIl., son of the late Marvin and Genevieve (Hansen) Pierce. He graduated from Elgin High School with the class of 1965. He furthered his education in trade schooling to become a commercial painter. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a dedicated employee for over 40 years working for NuWay Construction, in Ozark. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Monett.
On Aug. 16, 1968, he married Kathleen Ann Harris in Elgin, IIl.
He is survived by his wife; son, Harold Pierce, Jr., of Monett; daughters, Georgina Lynn (John) Snyder of Clinton, Gwen (Chris) Fillinger of Monett, Amy (William) Blair of Monett and Katherine (Jerahmyah) Curby of Pierce City; sister, Sylvia Holloway, of Bluford, IIl; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Nov. 30, 2020 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Graveside services were held Dec. 1, 2020 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cassville. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home.
