Helen Elizabeth Ribbing

Helen Elizabeth Ribbing, 88, of Aurora, passed away April 9, 2019, at the Mercy Hospital in Aurora. She was born July 13, 1930, in Washburn, to Jack and Murrel (Brown) Ford.
 In 1948, she married Calvin Dean Ribbing in Springfield; he preceded her in death in 2011.
Together, they owned and operated Ribbing Plumbing in the Aurora area for over 30 years. She worked in the dietary department at Mercy Hospital in Aurora and was a member of the Aurora First Baptist Church.
Ribbing is survived by: son, Jerry (Debbie) Ribbing of Marionville; daughters, Ellen Richardson of Aurora, and Sherry (Roger) Henson of Aurora; brother, Glen (Virginia) Ford of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; sisters, Ruby Ford, Cora Frances Tiedeman, Edna Fountain and Goldie Smith, and brothers, James, Ernest, Burton and Frank Ford; one grandson.
A visitation was held April 12, 2019, at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora with a funeral service that followed in the funeral home chapel. Burial followed at the Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Memorials may be made payable to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Missouri Veterans Home in Mt.
