Henry J. Mullins Jr.

Henry J. Mullins Jr., 95, of Monett, passed away June 11, 2021 at his home in Monett surrounded by his family. Mullins was born Feb. 3, 1926 in Barry County; the son of the late Henry Mullins Sr. and Bertha (Boyd) Mullins. Mullins was united in marriage on March 17, 1945 in Monett to Sadie Ellen Shideler.
Mullins was a lifetime resident of Monett, a retired mechanic and attended Grace Independent Methodist Church in Monett.
Mullins is survived by son, Henry Thomas (Sarah) Mullins of Monett; daughters, Lea Ellen (Bill) of Bowling Green, Ken. and Janie Lynne Gaydou of Monett; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles Shideler and sister-in-law, Billie June McNeff. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; son, Russell Edward Mullins; brother, Rolla Mullins and sisters, Zelma Able, Thelma Carlin, Margaret Gilbert, Lois Yerton, Imogene Henderson, Maxine Davis and Eula Henderson.
Visitation was held June 15, 2021 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services were held June 16, 2021 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Chapel in Monett. Burial next to his wife Sadie in the Monett I.O.O.F. Cemetery followed. Memorial donations may be made to Gideons. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
