Henry Patrick Simmons

Henry Patrick Simmons, 63, of Aurora passed away May 14, 2021, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.  He was born Nov. 8, 1957, in Wynn, Ark., the son of Benjamin Franklin and Julie Ann (Jenkins) Simmons.
Simmons was a self-employed farmer and handy man.
He was married to Diane Ruth Williams and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2012.
Simmons is survived by his fiancé, Sherry Toric, of Aurora; sons, Pat Simmons and Clarissa Ballot of Anchorage, Alaska, Derick Simmons of Forrest City, Ark. and Chris (Holly) Simmons of Missouri; sisters, Ruth Griffin of Marked Tree, Ark. and Lois Burns of Dyersburg, Tenn.; brother, Sonny Simmons of Marked Tree, Ark.; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Simmons was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; daughters, Angela and Julie Simmons;  son, Bobby Simmons; one grandson; brothers, Bobby, Ted, and Benny Simmons and sisters, Sheila Hammond, and Martha Rich.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021, at the Lewis Cemetery in Hickory Ridge, Ark.
