Homer Leon Owens

Homer Leon Owens, age 80, of Ash Grove, Missouri, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, September 17, 2021, at the Cox South Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri.  He was born July 23, 1941, in Halltown, Missouri, the son of Terry and Bessie (Batson) Owens.
Homer was a 1959 graduate of Miller High School, in Miller, Missouri.  He was a lifelong resident of the Halltown area and was a farmer.
On July 1, 1974, he married Bonnie Hodgson, in Miami, Oklahoma.
Homer is survived by his wife of 47 years, Bonnie; one daughter, Shawnda and several nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Homer was preceded in death by his parents, Terry and Bessie and two sisters, Lyndel Tuttle-Sartin and Terry Ellen Poindexter.
A visitation, under the direction of the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon, Missouri, will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Rock Prairie Chapel in Halltown, with a funeral service to follow in the chapel.  Burial will follow at the Rock Prairie Cemetery.
