Jack Edward Orbell, Sr.

Jack Edward Orbell Sr., 93, of Monett passed away Saturday April 2, 2022 while at his home in Monett. He was born in Hinsdale, Ill. on Jan. 12, 1929; the son of the late Harry and Sarah (Edwards) Orbell. He was united in marriage on March 26, 1949 in DuPage County, Ill. to Adda Bates; she preceded him in death on March 11, 2006.
He was a retired U.S.P.S. Postal carrier, retired driver for local companies and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.
Orbell is survived by one son: Jack Orbell, Jr. (Helen) of Westmont, Ill.; three daughters: Peggy Ludwig (Bill) of Romeoville, Ill., Penny Schwass (Bob) of Westmont, Ill. and Cindy Myers of Sugar Creek; two sisters: Karol McCormick of Bur Ridge, Ill. and Sarah Pine of Waukgan, Ill.; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren and special friend Nona Dalke.
Memorial visitation is being held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 4-8 p.m. at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
