James Donnini

James “Jimmy” Donnini, left this life on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021 at the age of 71.
Donnini was born on Feb. 26, 1950 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., son of the late Michael Angelo Donnini and Ruth Kathleen (Elrod) Donnini. He graduated from Monett High School with the class of 1970. He had worked for the city of Monett Street Department and later for Kay Concrete. Donnini was raised in the Catholic faith and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Donnini is survived by three sisters, Mari Jo Pryor (Alvin), of Purdy, Melena Donnini, of Purdy and Leta Elrod, of Monett; two nieces; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
Donnini was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jerry Donnini and Billy Elrod; and two nephews, Jerry Donnini and Austin Townsend.
Funeral services for Donnini were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 11, 2021 at Buchanan Funeral Home. Visitation began at 1 p.m. prior to the service. Interment was in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Missouri Disabled Sportsmen in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
