JAMES RALPH “JIM” GIDDINGS

James Ralph “Jim” Giddings, 85, of Washburn, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville, Ark. He was born in Washburn on June 17, 1940; the son of Frank and Tillie (Henbest) Giddings.
He grew up and attended school in Washburn, graduating from Washburn High School. He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a machinist by Emerson Electric and Kennametal, Inc. in Rogers, Ark. for several years, before retiring in 2002.
He is survived by one son, Joseph Giddings of Little Rock, Ark.; two daughters, Kasey Tate of Cassville and Kara (Fernando) Gonzalez of Rocky Comfort; one sister, Jane Brown of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Bill, Bud, John, and Bert; and two sisters, Thelma and Mary.
Services were held on Monday, Aug. 4, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Brother Tony Ball conducted the services. Burial with military honors was held at Washburn Prairie Cemetery in Washburn.
