Janie Lee Black

Janie Lee Black, 52, of Sarcoxie, passed away Wednesday Oct. 6, 2021. She was born in El Dorado, Ark. on Jan. 31, 1969; the daughter of the late Wesley and Vera (Cates) Cogburn. She was united in marriage in Moro Bay, Ark. on Feb. 14, 1986 to Keith Black; he survives.
She was a retired RN and a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Ark.
Black is survived by two sons: Jeremy Black of Mt. Vernon, and Brett Cogburn of Monett, one daughter: Kristan Black of Monett; three grandchildren and several brothers and sisters.
Visitation for Black was held 12-2 p.m. Monday Oct. 11, 2021  at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Ark. Funeral services were held immediately after visitation at 2 p.m. on Monday Oct. 11, 2021 at the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Moro Bay, Ark. Burial followed services at the Pigeon Hill Cemetery in Moro Bay, Ark.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
