Jean Elizabeth Chambers

Jean Elizabeth Chambers, 89, of Nixa, passed away Jan. 7, 2020, at the Spring Valley Health & Rehabilitation Center in Springfield. She was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Portage County, Wisc., to Frank Monroe and Verla Mae (Westcot) Goss. She was a nutritionist assistant for University of Missouri Extension Office in Springfield, was a hostess for various restaurants and was a new construction house cleaner.
Chambers is survived by: son, Mike  (Robin) Mounce of Crane; daughters, Verla Fleetwood of Springfield and Beverly (Gregg) Wilson of Billings; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; three nephews; one niece; and a lifelong friend, Bonnie Burgess. She was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Harold Mounce; one son-in-law; brothers, John (Dorothy) Goss, Roy (Vicki) Goss and Harold (Kitty) Goss.
A visitation was held Jan. 13, 2020, at the Williams Funeral Home in Marionville, with a funeral service that followed. Burial was at the Marionville IOOF Cemetery.
