Jerry Lynn Pearce

Jerry Lynn Pearce, 86, of Pierce City, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026, in Aurora. He was born in Crane, on Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1940; son of Lloyd Sanders and Mary Malinda (Ellis) Pearce. He married Reta Alora Harris on Monday, Dec. 23, 1968, in Cassville. He retired from Walmart after 25 years where he drove a semi-truck across the U.S. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pierce City where he helped with church security during services.
Surviving are the following: his wife, Reta of Pierce City, two sons, Stan (Mendy) Pearce of Monett, Gary Pearce of Joplin; two daughters, Terri (Kevin) Lucas of Monett, and Sharon Cleveland of Joplin; eight grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren;  one sister, Susie (Ron) Pendleton of Marionville.

Preceding him in death was his parents, Lloyd and Mary Pearce; three children, David Green, Susan Pearce, and Rhonda Mettlach; and two great-grandsons, Cayde Lawson and Cooper Mercer.
 
The family received friends at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, on Wednesday, Aug.19.
The Funeral Service was at Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City, on Thursday, Aug. 20. with Rev. Darren Caraway officiating.  Burial followed at Berwick Cemetery near Pierce City. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
