John Randall "Randy" Taylor

John Randall "Randy" Taylor, 64, of Mt. Vernon, passed away Dec. 26, 2019, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield. He was born Sept. 8, 1955, in Monett, to John and Wilma Lee (Doss) Taylor.
Taylor was a 1974 graduate of Miller High School in Miller and was a United States Army veteran. He worked in construction. In 2004, he married Paula Gerdes in Monett.
Taylor is survived by: his wife of 15 years, Paula; sons, John Taylor of Michigan, Ross Taylor of Springfield; daughter, Georgia Taylor of Michigan; stepsons, Jessie Moore of Mt. Vernon, Jeffry (Elyse) Moore of West Lake, Ohio and James (Ashley) Moore; brother, Benny Taylor; sister, Judy Johnson of Miller; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by: his parents, John and Wilma; brothers, J.D. Taylor and Jack Taylor; and sisters, Sue Kelley, Sandra Friend and Marlene Hull.
