Judy Kay Wommack

Judy Kay Wommack, age 73, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away at 1:12 p.m. on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at her home.  She was born June 26, 1947, in La Cross, Wisconsin, the daughter of Malcom Orman and Alvilda (Henderson) Landis.
Judy lived for many years in Wisconsin before moving to Mt. Vernon.  This where she met the love of her life.  On July 13, 1996, she married David Wommack in Mt. Vernon, Missouri.
Judy was an active member of the Mt. Vernon Lions Club and she worked for a time at the Ranch Motel.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, reading and collecting fairies and dragons and she loved the color purple.
Judy is survived by her husband of 24 years, David; three daughters, Lorie Hellenbrand and Lisa Williams both of Evansville, Wisconsin and Susan (James) Benash of Edgerton, Wisconsin; nine grandchildren, Brittany Hellenbrand, Kyle Hagen, Jeremy (Alli) Benash, Amanda (Dani) Benash, Anthony and Savannah Williams and Bella Stewart, Sage and Kaiya McCollough; two great-grandchildren, Gunther and Alaina; three sisters, Sheri (Jerry) Torgerson, Sandy (Don) McCollough and Patti (Jim) Schobert and several nieces and nephews.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Malcom and Alvilda, her first husband, Gilbert McCollough, and her son, LaVern McCollough.
A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon with a celebration of life to follow at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will follow at the Mt. Vernon IOOF Cemetery.
