Larry Gene Callaway

Larry Gene Callaway  passed away May 3, 2022 following a two-year battle with cancer.
He was born on Nov. 4, 1959 in Monett  to Loy Swaffar and Shirley Ryan.
He grew up and attended school in Cassville and later joined the Navy and gave four years of military service,
He had several occupations during his teen and adult life including working at his grandma Grace’s drive-in restaurant in Cassville, working for his father Loy on various jobs, electronics, the transportation and logistics industry, construction, and most recently running an hvac company with his wife Stacy, and their sons.
Callaway and Stacy married on June 12, 1999 and raised two wonderful sons together, Noah and Samuel Callaway.
He attended several churches throughout his life including 18 years at Dayspring Church in Springfield where he served in many capacities including the bus ministry, helping with property maintenance, as one of the recovery program facilitators and on the worship team where he sang, played guitar and bass guitar for over 17 years.
He is preceded in death by his father Loy Swaffar, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his wife Stacy Callaway, sons Noah and Samuel Callaway, mother Shirley Hurst, and sisters and brothers Sherry Clay (Scott), Elizabeth Harris (Jeremy), Jack Mattingly (Alissa), Steven Goeglien (Vicki), Debra Goeglien, Jeffery Swaffar (Stephanie) and Sherry Stamps. Also by many loved uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
