Linda Irene McCann

Linda Irene McCann, 73, of Miller passed away July 5, 2021, at her home.  She was born Aug. 21, 1947, in Phoenix, Ariz., the daughter of Charles “Chuck” and Maxine (Cortleyou) Lakin.
McCann was a 1966 graduate of Phoenix Central High School in Phoenix, Ariz. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was a registered nurse for Home Health and Hospice, retiring in 2008. She was a member of the Round Grove Baptist Church in Miller.
On June 26, 1968, she married Jim McCann in Weatherford, Texas.
McCann is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jim; mother; daughter, Monica (Tommy) Escamilla of Mansfield, Texas; sons, Jason (Mary) McCann and Travis (Amy) McCann all of Miller; nine grandchildren; sisters, Charlene (Eric) Bergland of Middleburg, Vermont, Sally Lakin, of Gold Canyon, Ariz. and Patty (Larry) Carroll of Albuquerque, N.M. and several nieces and nephews.
McCann was preceded in death by her father.
A graveside service under the direction of the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, in Miller, was held July 10, 2021, at the Grays Point Cemetery, west of Miller.
Memorials may be made payable to the Missionary Fund at the Round Grove Baptist Church or for the scholarship fund at the Southwest Cattleman Association, in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 108, Miller, Missouri.
