Loren “Lavon” Russell

Loren “Lavon” Russell, 88, of Monett, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 at home.
He was born Jan. 17, 1938 in Mineral Springs, the son of Calvin and Lora (Ennis) Russell. On July 26, 1957 in Orville, Calif. he was united in marriage to Patsy Gage for 68 wonderful years, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Rick Russell and wife Becky of Verona, and Ted Russell and wife Minerva of Springdale, Ark.; daughters, Cindy Breazzeal and partner Donald of Cassville, and Vicky Russell and partner Jim of Golden; brother, Doyle Russell of Monett; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; grandparents and brother, Calvin Russell, Jr.
He grew up and attended school in Reeds Spring, graduating from Reeds Spring High School. His passions were farming, raising cattle and being a machinist, but most of all he loved  his wife and family.
Services were at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, 2026 at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Jerry Nickle and Pastor Mike Tharp conducted. Burial was at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
