Louis Alene Smith

Lois Alene Smith, Lockwood, passed away Friday, Aug. 13, 2021,  age 86. 

She was born on May 30, 1935 in Stone County to Rolla and Mable (Coker) Baker. Smith graduated from Hurley High School. She attended cosmetology school in Branson and worked as a Cosmetologist. Smith also had worked at Zenith and as Psych Tech. She was married to Claudie Marion Lee Smith in 1995. Smith was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Greenfield. 

Preceding her in death were her parents, Rolla and Mable Baker;  husband, Claudie Smith; son, Douglas Martin; three brothers, Junior Baker, Robert Baker, and William Baker; and one nephew, Jeff Baker. 

Survivors include three step-daughters, Debra Chrisman  (Larry), Connie Tuggle  (Kennith), and Marsha Patterson (Randy); one step-son, Kenneth Smith  (Marybelle);  brother, Wendell Baker; her daughter-in-law, Cheryl Martin; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Baker; ten step-grandchildren;27 step-great-grandchildren; two step great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.


Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16, 2021, in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church. Burial followed in Fellowship Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fellowship Cemetery. Services are under the care of Greenfield Funeral Chapel.
