MARK MAYNARD BANKES

Mark Maynard Bankes, 65, of Stotts City passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1958, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Maynard and Violet (Wallace) Bankes.
He was a 1976 graduate of Colfax High School in Colfax, Iowa. After graduating high school, he spent four years in the United States Navy.
On Jan. 1, 1998, he married Fran Stogsdill in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Fran; four sons, Alexander Bankes, of Tucson, Ariz., and Cody, Ethan, and Matthew Bankes, of Stotts City; one sister, Pat Cushatt of Iowa and two grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Helen Pratt, Susan Wallace, and Norma Miller; and one brother, Sam Bankes.
There will be no services planned at this time.
