Mary Alice Tanner

Mary Alice Tanner, 95, of Aurora, passed away Sept. 2, 2018, at the Lacoba Nursing Home in Monett. She was born Oct. 22, 1922, in Harrisburg, Ill. to Murray and Fern (Overton) McDaniel.
Tanner was a 1940 graduate of Harrisburg High School in Harrisburg, Ill. In 1951, she married Theodore Martin Tanner in Harrisburg, Ill. He preceded her in death in 2009. They owned and operated a decorating store, in Addison, Ill. until retiring in 2000.  
Tanner is survived by: daughters Julie Culver of Aurora, Susan Carlson of Algonquin, Ill. and Laurie (Richard) Larson of Walworth, Wis.; son Theodore Tanner of Mt. Vernon; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. She was preceded in death by: her parents; three brothers; and one sister.
A graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home, in Aurora was held Sept. 8, 2018, at Maple Park Cemetery in Aurora. Online condolences may be shared at www.CraftonCantrellFuneralHome.com.
