Max Eugene Lawmaster

Max Eugene Lawmaster, 72, of Miller, passed away Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born April 15, 1949, in Miller, the son of James Fredson and Ruth Frances (Whittenburg) Lawmaster.
Lawmaster was a 1968 graduate of Miller High School. He retired as an SGT E5 from the United States Army and the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, in Mt. Vernon. He was a member of the Mt. Vernon VFW Post 4541.
Lawmaster is survived by his brother, Leonard Lawmaster (Gayla), of Miller; sister-in-law, Brenda Lawmaster, of Mt. Vernon and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ruth, and his brother, Jimmie Lawmaster.
A visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home in Miller with a graveside service to follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Ozark Prairie Cemetery, northeast of Mt. Vernon.
