Mildred “Louise” (Craton) Bellm

Mildred “Louise” (Craton) Bellm, 86, of Aurora passed away on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at her daughter’s home in Verona with family at her side. She was born in Wentworth on Saturday, Nov. 23, 1935; daughter of James and Mildred (Gorman) Craton Cramer. She married Lawrence Bellm on June 1, 1952. They were married for 25 years. Of this union, seven children were born. Bellm was a retired secretary for UFCW Local two in Joplin.
Surviving are the following: three sons, Richard “Rick” Bellm (Carol) of Pierce City, Dennis Bellm (Neina) of Seneca and Gregory “Greg” Bellm (Joyce) of Ash Grove; four daughters, Kathleen “Kathy” Heidlage (John) of Pierce City, Patty Osterloh (Tim) of Verona, Mary Deatherage (George) of Verona; and Stephanie Heman (Bruce) of Aurora; one sister, Alice Callaway of Joplin; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. She will be missed by many other family members and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Bill Cramer, a granddaughter, Eve Boswell, a great-grandson, Cayde Lawson, and two sisters, Jenell Roderique and Betty “Wrobleski” Kutz.
Rosary Services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2022. Visitation followed until 8 p.m.
Memorial Mass will be at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Aurora beginning at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, with Father Paul Pudhota officiating. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Pierce City. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
Memorials may be made to Integrity Hospice or Holy Trinity Catholic Church PCCW in care of the funeral home.
