Mildred Cora Lee Pomeroy

Mildred Cora Lee Pomeroy, 82, of Sarcoxie passed away Dec. 9, 2020 in the comfort of her home.
Pomeroy was born March 14, 1938 in Shafter, Calif., to the union of the late Houston and Ida Pearl (Cerna) Nanney. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service as a file clerk in California. She later moved to Sarcoxie with her family. She was a member of Sarcoxie River of Life Church. She had been very active with the Sarcoxie Senior Center, as well as volunteering at the Sarcoxie Library.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Shelly Dawn Curry; siblings, Alice Walton, Billie Crider and Lloyd Wayne Nanney.
She is survived by her daughter, Alice (Sherman) Burruss; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; brother, Gene Nanney (Dorothy) of Clovis, Calif.; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Dec. 15, 2020 at the Sarcoxie River of Life Church. Burial followed at Sarcoxie Cemetery. Visitation was prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be donated to the Sarcoxie River of Life Church or Monett River of Life Church, in care of the funeral home. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Housh-Goodwin Funeral Home in Sarcoxie.
