Morris Wayne Henderson

Morris Wayne Henderson, 90, of Monett, passed away Sept. 3, 2018, while staying at Lacoba Homes in Monett. He was born in Purdy, June 24, 1928, to the late Elzy and Florence (Wormington) Henderson. He was married in 1947, to Imogene Rhea; she preceded him in death in 1996. He was then married in Elm Springs, Ark. in 1997, to Rena Nickle; she survives.
He was the owner of Skateland in Monett as well as several other businesses in town, and was a member of the Arnhart Baptist Church in East Purdy.
Henderson is survived by: his wife Rena; son Denny (Roxie) Henderson of Purdy; daughter Kathy (Chris) Davis; step-son Duane (Angela) Wormington of Alpina, Ark.; step-daughters Leta Dunlap of Pierce City and Rhonda (Bob) McFarland of Stella; 12 grandchildren;18 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; nine step-grandchildren; and 16 step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held Sept. 6, 2018, at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Funeral services were held Sept. 7, 2018, at the Arnhart Baptist Church in East Purdy. Burial followed services at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Butterfield. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
