Mt. Vernon EDC holds annual membership meeting at City Hall

The Mt. Vernon Economic Development Corporation held its annual membership meeting the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 13 at the Mt. Vernon City Hall.
Although no members were present other than the board of directors, Mt. Vernon School District Superintendent Scott Cook gave a presentation on the upcoming tax initiative for the school district.
Following the presentation, the business of electing members to the board began. Leaving the board was Marcia Sadler, with Empire Electric, who was a member at large.
Remaining on the board and re-elected to their positions are: President Earl Alexander, Vice President Ryan Squibb, Treasurer David Burnett, Secretary Dave Eden, Ruth Childers, David Botts, Brian George, Joey Orr and Max Springer.
