Naomi Ruth Cooney

Naomi Ruth Cooney, 81, of Aurora passed away Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Aurora.
She was born to Austin and Cecil Penny Barnett on March 25, 1940 in Billings. She was a retired LPN.
Survivors include her son, Tom Cooney of Aurora; three daughters, Denise Cooney, Elizabeth Lawson and Ryan Pendergrass all of Aurora; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Alvin; daughter, Deanna Anders; three brothers, Bill, Barney and Robert Barnett; and two sisters, Mary Lou Curbow and Nickie Arentzen.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 19, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Burial followed in Maple Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 5-7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
