Nathaniel Jordan Carpenter

Nathaniel Jordan “Nate” Carpenter,  43, of Aurora, passed away  Friday, Dec. 17, 2021, in Joplin. He was born Sept. 24, 1978, in Kansas City, the son of Phillip and Sara (Schaffner) Carpenter.
Carpenter is survived by his mother, Sara Brown, of Aurora; his father, Phillip Carpenter of Monticello, Ill.; two sisters, Elizabeth Brown (Josh Huff) of Kansas City and Ellie Carpenter of Seattle, Wash.; maternal grandfather, William Schaffner of Russellville; paternal grandmother, Mildred Carpenter, of Branson and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Carpenter was preceded in death by his dad, Bob Brown; paternal grandparents, John, and Helen Brown; maternal grandmother, Shirley Schaffner and paternal grandfather, William Carpenter.
A private graveside service, under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, will be held at a later date at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Aurora.
Memorial donations may be made payable to the Victory Mission in Springfield or the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Springfield in care of the funeral home.
