Patricia Maude Johnson

Patricia Maude (Tilley) Johnson, 82, of Clever, passed away Oct. 20, 2019. She was born June 12, 1937, in Plato, to Woodford Leroy and Grace (Lucke) Tilley. She graduated from Plato High School and Southwest Missouri State College (SMS).
She was married to Jerry Routh for 17 years. She taught school for several years, mostly 5th and 6th grade at several area schools including Stoutland, Hallsville and Republic. She married James (Jim) Johnson before she retired from teaching, and they moved to the Clever, area to enjoy simple country farm life.
 She is survived by: daughters, Lekea (Routh) Durr and Genea (Routh) Carson of Springfield and Sarita (Johnson) (Michae) Burk of Marionville; sisters, Irene (Tilley) (David) Cowles of Catoosa, Okla. and Ruthann (Tilley) (Chub) Johnson of Rogersville; stepson, Mark (Pat) Johnson of Houston, Texas; stepdaughter, Christa (Johnson) Pizzuti of Wichita, Kan.; a stepdaughter-in-law; and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; along with nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Woodford Leroy Jr.; a nephew; stepson, James Jr.; and husband, Jim, of 39 years.
A memorial is planned for a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora.
