Paul Darwin “Dar” Morgan

Paul Darwin “Dar” Morgan, 95, of Diamond passed away on Saturday May 21, 2022 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.
He was born on May 15, 1927 in Diamond to the late Edward P., Jr. and Mary Jane (Anderson) Morgan. He graduated from Diamond High School in 1945. On June 6, 1958 married Mary M. Fetters. They celebrated 57 years together before her passing on Aug. 5, 2015. Morgan worked as a produce farmer until 1972 then took a job with Diamond School District as a custodian and bus driver, serving the district for 17 years, retiring in 1989. He also served as a councilman and mayor of Diamond for many years. Morgan was also a member of the Diamond Christian Church and the Diamond Lions Club.
Morgan is survived by his two daughters; Penny Gibbens, of Diamond and Tisha (Jon) Brisbin of Lamar; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and one on the way.
Along with his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters; Addie Corner, Helen Smith, Margaret Wallace, and Nell Harvey; brothers, Clayton Morgan and Alva Morgan.
