Paul David Probstfield

Paul David Probstfield, age 81, of Monett, Missouri, passed away at 5:57 p.m. on Tuesday, September 29, 2020, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri.  He was born October 21, 1938, in Verona, Missouri, the son of Paul John and Mary Christine (Sperandio) Probstfield.
Paul was a 1956 graduate of Verona High School and was a United States Army Veteran.  He was a shoe manufacturing supervisor, a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, and a videographer in the tri-county area for various family events.  He was a member of the St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Monett where he was a youth director for 25 years, and a Eucharistic minister to nursing homes and shut-ins.    
On October 12, 1963, he married Sondra Gail Netzer at the Sacred Heart Church in Verona, Missouri.
Paul is survived by his wife of nearly 57 years, Sondra; four children, Martin David Probstfield of Monett, Missouri; Melissa Anne Scott and her husband, Mike, of Branson, Missouri, Mila Gayle Harris and her husband, Dennis, of Springfield, Missouri and Dr. Meghan Daniel Probstfield and Lourie Laberinto, of Fort Pierce, Florida; six grandchildren, Caleb, Michaela, Jantzen and Macy Scott and Logan and Brandon Harris; two sisters, Christine Fischer and her husband, Bill, of Kansas City, Missouri and Pauline Kelley and Don Murphy of Monett, Missouri; one brother, Dan Probstfield and his wife, Barba, of Springfield; two step sisters, Sue Reichert, and Alice Vantuyl; two step brothers, Milton and Bobby Mustain and many nieces and nephews.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mary, sister, Florine “Toots” Garner and her husband, Paul; and his stepmother’s, Minnie Probstfield, and Joyce Probstfield.
There was a viewing for friends at the Crafton-Cantrell Funeral Home in Aurora, Missouri, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 2, 2020. Viewing resumed at 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Verona. Burial followed at the Calvary Cemetery in Verona.  
Memorial donations to be directed to the St. Lawrence Catholic School in Monett, Missouri.  
Face masks were required to enter the funeral home and the church and please practice social distancing.
