Pauline Hillburn

Pauline Hillburn, 91, of Monett passed away at the Sarcoxie Nursing Center in Sarcoxie on Friday, June 24, 2022.
She was born on Jan. 1, 1931 in Smithville, Ark., daughter of the late Alvie and Florence (Doyle) Matney. She had worked for Safeway Grocery for over 25 years before her retirement.
On May 22, 1954 in Kingman, Ariz., Hillburn and Morlen Hillburn were united in marriage. To this union, they had two children. In 1985, they moved to Monett from Atwater, Calif.
Survivors include a son, William T. Broadway (Blanca), of El Paso, Texas; a daughter, Vicki Perry (Roger), of Monett; a sister, Joyce Piper, of Kentucky; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Morlen Hillburn; one brother, Glen Matney; and two sisters, Alene Stewart and Lucille Wynn.
Graveside services for Hillburn will be at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Monett with Reverend Robert Bradow officiating. Memorial donations have been suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
