Peggy Blakey

Peggy Blakey, 88,  of Aurora passed away July 14, 2022. She was born in Aurora on Feb. 27, 1934, to Frank and Dollie (Reame) McWhirter.
She married Bobby Blakey on Dec. 23, 1950. She had attended Clever Assembly of God Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bobby, daughter Deborah Fern Patton, son-in-law Mark Henry, great granddaughter Chloe Dye and four siblings.
Survivors are her children Dennis Blakey (Marilyn), David Blakey (Brenda), Becky Crouch (Joe) and Naomi Henry, 12 grandchildren, two sisters Laura Mae Butler and Shirley Glidewell and brother-in-law Delbert Blakey (Leanne) as well as numerous great-grandchildren.
A visitation was from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Funeral services followed at 10 with burial to take place in Short Cemetery in Hurley.
