Phyllis Louise Carder

Phyllis Louise Carder, 81, Monett, passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at her home in Monett. She was born in Pioneer, on Wednesday, Oct. 18, 1939.  She was the daughter of John and Seraphine (Hagedorn) Renkoski. Carder was a 1957 graduate of Pierce City High School. On Feb. 27, 1960, she married Francis "Hank" Carder, and he preceded her in death on April 12, 2005. Carder was a homemaker for many years, worked in home healthcare a few years, and ran a business along with her husband.  

Surviving are the following: six children, Greg Carder of Monett, Doug (Tonya) Carder of Monett, Sheila Carder of Monett, Brian Carder of Monett, Kristy (Chad) Cole of Monett, and Amber Carder of Springfield; one sister, Janice (Harold)Fenske of Joplin; three sisters-in-law, Donna Chapman of Carlinville, Ill, Maebel Renkoski of Monett, and Annibel Morris of Wentworth; thirteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. 

 Carder was preceded in death by her parents, John and Seraphine; her husband, Francis; and a brother, Phillip Renkoski.
 
Prayer Services and Rosary will be at Lakin Funeral Home, in Pierce City, at 6 p.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2021. Visitation will follow until 8 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Pierce City, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2021, with Father Matt Rehrauer officiating.  Burial will follow at the Pierce City Cemetery in Pierce City. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Lakin Funeral Home in Pierce City.
