Roger Lee Curless

Roger Lee Curless, 70, of Mt. Vernon passed away Dec. 18, 2020, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was born Feb. 25, 1950, in Willis, Kan., the son of Thomas and Esther (Armstrong) Curless.
He was a United States Army Veteran serving during the vietnam era and worked for a dog food plant.
On Oct. 18, 1986, he married Pauline Louise Tull, in Hiawatha, Kan.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years; son, Quincy Curless of Mt. Vernon; sister, Joanne James of Wichita, Kan.; brother, Jim (Mary) Curless of El Monte, Calif.; sister-in-laws, Marieta (Terry) McClintock of Springfield, Anita Sellers of Eight Mile, Ala., and Nancy Hall of Quenomo, Kan.; brother-in-laws, Carl and Bernard Tull of Quenomo, Kan. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, John Curless.
A celebration of life was held Dec. 29, 2020, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon. Burial was held at the Claytonville Cemetery in Willis, Kan.
