Rosa Joan “Jo” (Beaver) Chapman

Rosa Joan “Jo” (Beaver) Chapman was born Feb. 20, 1932 in Stella to George Irvin and Dora (Kirk) Beaver. Her siblings who preceded her in death are Ima Jean Beaver, Gloria Nadene McLean (Robert), Douglas Irvin Beaver (Jerrie), Barbara June Webb (Carl), Jerry Dale Beaver (Jolene), Marvin Royce Beaver (Linda), George Ronald Beaver and Dickie Nolan Beaver.
Surviving her are her siblings, Linda Jane Pope (Michael), of Eagle Point, Ore., Peggy Darlene McKinney (William), of Aurora and Debra Helen Beaver, of Redding, Calif.; several grandchildren and a great granddaughter.
She met the love of her life while attending Pierce City School. She married Charles Edward Chapman on Nov. 27, 1947 and they were married 77 years. Charlie passed April 9, 2024.
Celebration of life will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb.11, at Calvary Chapel of Monett. Pastor Dennis Burge will officiate. Interment will follow in the Jolly Mill Cemetery, Pierce City. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until service time on Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions can be made to the James Robinson Life Outreach International. Arrangements are under the personal care and direction of Buchanan Funeral Home, Monett.
