Sammy “Sam” Lee Shoemaker

Sammy “Sam” Lee Shoemaker, 71, of Springfield, formerly of Aurora, passed away April 10, 2020 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield. He was born to Gene and Agnes Rinker Shoemaker in 1948 in Aurora.
Survivors include: wife, Lori Shoemaker of Springfield; son, Derek (Kristi) Shoemaker of Aurora; daughter, Danell (Keith) Walters of Springfield; brother, Mike (Chris) Shoemaker of Carthage; sister, Saunnie Tyson of Las Vegas, Nev.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
No services are planned. Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
