Sandra Kay “Sandy” Myers

Sandra Kay “Sandy” Myers, 72, Carthage passed away Friday, May 20, 2022 at Mercy Hospital, Joplin. She was born Nov. 28, 1949 in Carthage the daughter of Guy Myers and Helen (Wilson) Myers. She was a 1967 graduate of Carthage High School. She worked in payroll at McCune Brooks Hospital in Carthage for 47 years.  
Survivors include three brothers, David Myers (Lisa), Carthage, Allen Myers, Carthage, and Guy L. Myers, Carthage; two sisters, Roberta Newberry (Ron), Rose Hill, Kansas; two nieces; two nephews; a sister-in-law, Karen Myers; eight great nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Dorothy Sue Myers; and a half-brother, Jimmie Myers.
Graveside services were held 2 p.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at Oak Hill Cemetery, Carthage. The family received friends from 5-7 p.m., Monday, May 23, 2022 at Knell Mortuary, Carthage.
