Sharon “Sherry” Sharon

Sharon “Sherry” Sharon, age 80, of Mt. Vernon, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, at North Cypress Medical Center in Houston, Texas.  She was born November 28, 1940, in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Olin and Garnet Rose (Bartlett) Frankfather.
Sherry was a 1958 graduate of Rogers High School in Toledo, Ohio.  She was an administrative assistant for the Missouri Rehabilitation Center, the First National Bank, the Senior Center and Dr. Fry’s office, all in Mt. Vernon.  She was a volunteer at the Missouri Veteran’s Home and was a very active member of the Covenant Baptist Church.  She was a member and taught Sunday School and played the piano at the Christ Chapel Church in Mt. Vernon.
On November 10,1984, she married Loy Frederick Sharon in Mt. Vernon.  He preceded her in death on November 24, 2014.
Sherry is survived by her two daughters, Janet Orf and her husband, Mike, of High Ridge, Missouri and Denise Munton and her husband, Don, of Houston, Texas; five grandchildren, M.J. Orf and his wife, Megan, Abigail, Isaiah and Zachariah Munton and Sharon Moore; four great-grandchildren, Theodore, Henry, Augustus Orf and Laura Moore; three great-great grandchildren, Makenzie, Skyler and Brooklyn; one sister, Karen Barney and her husband, Walt, of Cedar Bluff, Alabama, one brother, Tim Miley of Sylvania, Ohio; one step brother, Richard Miley, of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; one son-in-law, Eual Moore and several nieces and nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, Olin and Garnet, stepfather, Harry Miley, husband, Loy, twin sister, Geraldine Frankfather-Miley and stepdaughter, Jane Moore.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 22, 2020, at the Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, in Mt. Vernon.  Burial followed at the East View Cemetery, west of Stotts City, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made payable to the Christ Chapel Church, in care of the funeral home.
Due to Covid 19, the family requested for those attending the services to please wear a mask and to practice social distancing.
