Sharon Kay Miller

Sharon Kay Miller, 71, of Monett passed away Nov. 20, 2020 at her home in Monett. She was born on April 1, 1949; the daughter of the late Lewis and Rosemary (Houston) Yates. Miller was a 1967 graduate of Mt. Vernon High school. She was united in marriage on Aug. 4, 1978 in St. Louis to Jim Miller.
 She was a retired teacher working for the Purdy and Cassville School Districts and was a member of the Chapel of Grace Church in Monett.
She is survived by her husband; son, Alan Miller of Monett; brother, Robert Yates of Haysville, Kan.; sister, Ellen Yates of Haysville, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and brother, David Yates.
Visitation was held Nov. 23, 2020 at the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett. Graveside funeral services were held Nov. 24, 2020 at the Purdy Cemetery in Purdy. Memorials may be made to St. Jude’s or Samaritans Purse. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home in Monett.
