Shirley Louise Smith

Shirley Louise Smith, 81, of Aurora passed away Sept. 22, 2018, in her home. She was born to Dale and Helen Winters Burney Feb. 28, 1937, in Springfield. She worked for Lily Tulip and French’s in Springfield before retiring.
Survivors include: her husband, James; son, James (Robin) Smith Jr. of Springfield; daughters, Shirl Dunkelberger of Aurora, Fernita Harmon of Aurora, and Tracy (Howard) Littles of Springfield; sisters, Delores Latham of Fair Grove, and Marcella Garrison of Rogersville; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; brother, Jimmy Burney; and sister, Lucille Knapp. Visitation was held Sept. 26, in the Peterson Funeral Chapel. Cremation followed.
